Mustangs Race at Home!

South Whidbey Invite - a great day for the Mustangs as all groups placed in top 4. Congrats!

9/19 - regular practice

9/20 - Practice and Pre Meet Pasta Dinner - RHS Cafeteria after practice. Freshmen provide extras.

9/21 - RHS Curriculum Night! and, first home meet of the season:
2:45 - Athletes report to Hartman Park
4:00 - Girls race
4:40 - Boys race
Times are approximate....

9/22 - Practice and Team photo day at 4:30 - Athletes should wear team jacket and pants.

9/24, 9am, Saturday - Long Run at Redmond Watershed - bring food/drink item to share.

Week of 9/6 - Season Begins!

Redmond XC First Meet this Wednesday!

9/6 - Pasta Dinner at RHS, Tshirt/uniform distribution
9/7 - Jamboree, Lake Sammamish State Park (Parking fee - $10 or WA State Discovery Pass)
2:30 - buses depart RHS
4:30 - races begin - by age beginning with 9th grade boys and ending with 12th grade girls at 6:50. All times are approximates.

9/8 - Practice - recovery run
9/9 - Practice - Hills
9/10 - Redmond Watershed long run, 9-11 am - bring breakfast item to share for 4-6

For this week - 2nd week of Redmond XC!

This Week - Get Cleared!
Tuesday, 8/30 6-8pm - Super Jock N Jill spike night. Free pizza for athletes and 15%. Redmond.
Thursday, 9/1 7-8pm - Parent Night - RHS Cafeteria. At least one parent per athlete should attend.
Saturday, 9/3 9-11am - Redmond Watershed long run. Varsity required, JV recommended.

Next Week - First week of Classes
Monday, 9/5 (Labor Day) 2:45pm - required regular practice - meet at Hartman Park.
Tuesday, 9/6 - First day of school! Regular practice with uniform checkout and free team t-shirt. Pre-Race Team Pasta Feed from 5:30-6:30 (after practice) in the RHS cafetria.

Wednesday, 9/7 - XC Jamboree, Lake Sammamish State Park ($10 fee or Discovery Pass for parking). Buses for athletes leave school at 2:15.

Redmond Mustang XC Boosters - How It Works

Redmond XC - Be A Part Of It!

The RHS XC Booster Club is a parent organization that works with the coaches to help support a healthy and fun XC experience for our kids. We’re looking for volunteers for the 2017 season to fill positions being vacated by outgoing senior’s parents. If interested, contact Booster president Wade Warriner (wade.warriner@safeco.com), or for more information, email the contact associated with a specific role below.

TREASURER: Maintains the bank account for the club.
·        Time Commitment: Total time across 10 week season is 5-6 hours

WEBMASTER
·        Time commitment: Usually less than one hour per week

HARTMAN 5K COMMUNITY FUN RUN RACE COORDINATOR: Make preparations for a successful event.
·        Time commitment: Pre-Race (8 hours, spread June-August), Race Day – 3 hours.

3-4 AT-LARGE MEMEBERS: Oversee and recruit volunteers to fill the following roles:

SIGN UP GENIUS: Coordinate volunteers via SignUpGenius web application.
·        Time commitment: 1-2 hours in the preseason to set up and send link to coach to include in weekly emails; a few minutes before each event to monitor site and ensure sign up slots are filled.

RACE DAY PHOTOGRAPHERS: 1-2 photographers to take pictures of athletes running the race course. The pictures are posted to the RHS XC blog and used in the end-of-the year banquet slide show.

BAGEL BRIGADE: Coordinate race day snacks for athletes.
·        Time commitment: Less than an hour per week for about 5 races.

PASTA FEEDS VOLUNTEERS: 3-4 volunteers per pasta feed for about 4 pasta feeds per season.
·        Time commitment: From 5:00 - 6:30 per feed.

END OF YEAR BANQUET: Help set up or clean up cafeteria. Set up usually starts at around 5:15, clean up usually ends around 9.
